Balance is a common destination in any action, reaction, motion, thought or emotion we embrace. When we look far and near within realities that we exist in, we can always preview examples of balance surrounding elements of our lives; whenever there is vile, you will find virtue, wherever death comes, you will find birth, and every darkness has a light.
As humans with constant fears in our lives, it is only wise to differentiate between two kinds of fears, according to their results and followed consequences; Negative fears that outgrew from physiological, psychological and mental chain reactions we discussed in the previous post. But there is positive fear to the equation that bestow more than physiological, mental and psychological benefits, including, but not limited to increasing activity and energy, that advocates for progress and success.
I already mentioned types of negative fears that can be inhabited by children through many false practiced methods included in their upbringing. But, what about positive fear? where can we define and find a positive approach to such ongoing dilemma, and before we go further in analyzing how to bargain a positive element in fear, we need to establish a need for such bargain, and since we are vulnerable towards facing our own fears, what can positive fear give to abolish such dilemma? can we create balance even with an emotion such as fear?

Personally, I consider the only element of a positive emotion opposing our ongoing fears can only be inspired by a divine power, some people might consider that to be a fierce leader, a king or even a spiritual master, but they can’t be more than sinful humans, just like any of us, with fears deeper than I could ever imagine (I could take a guess!). But if I to fear a divine power, it would be a righteous harmony to the one giving this mortal body an immortal soul, thus my restful will confides in an almighty fear, leading towards accomplished salutary, versed with powerful peace.
The main reason to this anomaly in fear of a divine power has its specifications and properties instilled in humans with a distinct quality, value and quantity, as well as conditions that cannot be accepted without it, nor would the outcomes be complete.
One of the main conditions to complete positive fear effects, is to accomplish the aim of our existence, whether by promoting, motivating and working towards righteous deeds and rebuilding earth for what it lost, by defenders of falsehood, with that, fear becomes a positive force that motivates hardship, perfection, creativity and the emancipation of humans from earthly unjust constrains towards divine and just laws.
There are certainly many ways that we can seek to face our negative fears, some of us are even strong enough to face them by themselves, others deny them, and many were battered by them. But when employing the fear of a just divine power, we can only turn back and plea for its advocacy, such a balance can only lead to abolish all negative fears, against one mighty impartial fear.
Spiritual submission and plea have different effects from those out of negative fear, as it leads to physiological changes named (Parasympathetic) by medical scientists, deriving reduced blood pressure & heart beats, relaxes muscles and psychological, neural systems, which is exactly the opposite of what arises with negative fear.

If fear is allied with spiritual submission, balance is created between both of their effects, by protecting humans from negative outcomes that would happen, should one side becomes imbalanced with the other.
Interesting post, I read it twice. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I grew up being taught that I was to fear God but honestly, I could never reconsile a God of love with a God to be feared. I think positive accomplishments and forward movement by the human race are done through love, not fear. I do agree that there is a balance to everything. When it comes to fear, I don’t think it is something to be either ignored or conquered. I feel that if there is nothing I am afraid to face, if I can meet the darkness of fear with my godlight, then I find balance. — Is not the ‘fear’ you speak of that is to be allied with spiritual submission, in another word, ‘love’? — I enjoy your posts, they give me a lot to think about.
Thank you for your time…
And you are right, most of us were taught to fear God, especially through organized religion, where it emphasized on teaching us the do’s and don’t of life and their consequences, disregarding the relation to higher & more beautiful picture of spirituality.
My thoughts on positive fear were to put in terms of a balance that we can find in everything, while fighting our inner fears. and it is just an example were we can find such balance, in this case it was a personal experience as well… I for instance, was only able to conquer my fears by knowing that nothing is greater than the one who instilled such soul in me, and only an almighty power can take it away, and so, I have nothing to worry about or be afraid from, since I trust this soul will return to its creator, and was always protected by its creator.
Thank you for your thoughts…
Thank you for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it.
Sometimes I can’t tell the difference between fear and excitement. It is like the fear is a rush of energy that excites. Is that the negative fear? If so, it helps me in physical aspects and sometimes mental as well, as long as it does not become overwhelming. It is just not calming, and it makes it hard to be apathetic, for me, which I think can be good in certain times, especially because I can be very passive without that excitement. Could this be part of a nature which is eager for a chance to see its own potential? I do not get excited about touching fire or anything like that, so is that awareness or fear? I think it might all be in how I define the word; fear. Or the lack of definition I have for fear. I worry about some things if I am aware of their potential dangers so I guess that is fear or caused by fear. Maybe it is that fear is not awareness, it is a sense of what we are not aware of. That would make sense then to fear a divine awareness. What a ramble I have done here! Well your post brought these questions out of me so I guess they belong here. Thanks for keeping my gears turning as usual! Great post!
We need to remember that fear is just like any other emotion that requires balance, but in this specific emotion, there are certain qualities that need to be addressed as well as embraced, in order for us to withdraw lessons from, or experiencing different other aligned emotions and reactions.
But regardless to what we experience with fear as outcomes, the essential part is to take notice of the details of each outcome and their potentials, negative or positive. Once we are able to analyze such emotions and their connections towards certain reactions and their real causes, or at least reaching a certain level of understanding, only then can we define what kind of potential we are up against, and I always believed that fear(negative or positive) can be used as a tool. now whether this tool destroys your life or brings you to a better understanding of yourself, or even better…enlightenment, that is all up to each and every one of us. and our ability to face, deny, accept, contain or destroy our fears, and vise versa…
Now, to be daring is a different story, but applied to the same rules of balance, so for example it is different to be daring while having experience or experiments, or be daring in terms of who I call LEAPERS… in the first case, lets say, experimenting with fire, I did touch fire on many occasions, until I was able to obtain more “tolerance” towards it, but after the tolerance stage I was able to rationalize the relation of pain with tolerance, by containing the center of the pain to where it is only, and block it away from my mind. thus having experienced with fire with NO FEAR.
I hope I made sense to you, and thank you so much for taking the time to read and reflect, truly, a pleasure.
cheers,

Fear is such a powerful feeling. It can both save one from great danger and cause great danger. There is so much to be said about “fear.”
I personally loved the way this post is written so THUMBS UP firstly

Secondly, FEAR is something that develops itself when you LOVE someone, as far as the MIGHTY POWER is concerned, we love HIM and so do we fear Him cause simultaneously we would never want Him to distance Himself from us if we genuinely love him and this fear will ultimately become the basis OF SELF DEVELOPMENT! We will stay away from SINS and will be guided by the right hand to the right path always which will enable us to conquer the real of our existence and why our body was provided with the IMMORTAL SOUL when this world and the body itself is MORTAL.
Loved it, thanks for sharing
Blessing,
-Naima.
Than you so much for the kind words and you are absolutely right, we always can find many different emotions where we can use it to better our self, and fear is probably the most familiar feeling to humans and the drive to accomplish.
Thank you for your time and contribution, always appreciated
